The Karachi Bird Atlas is a citizen-science project dedicated to documenting and mapping the birdlife of Karachi Division, across all its districts and the myriad of habitats within it. From coastlines, wetlands and Khirthar mountains to urban parks and neighborhoods, this initiative invites birdwatchers, students, and nature enthusiasts to contribute their sightings and help build a comprehensive image of the Metropolis’s avian diversity.
By combining community observations, we aim to understand species distribution, seasonal movements, and important urban biodiversity hotspots. The data will support research, conservation planning, and greater public awareness about the birds that share our urban space with us.
Whether you’re an expert birder or a curious beginner, your observations can make a difference and join us now!
